HAAU
Humans & Animals United is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We help animals in need and give vulnerable animals the opportunity for care, recovery, and a safe, loving future. HAAU focuses especially on animals who are often overlooked. This includes seniors, injured and abused animals, medically complicated cases, and animals facing euthanasia when no one else has stepped forward.
For HAAU, rescue means more than removing an animal from a shelter. HAAU commits to each animal’s well-being through veterinary care, rehabilitation, fostering, adoption, and continued support.
ROSA FOND

Animal rescue has been part of Rosa Fond’s life for as long as she can remember. For decades, she has devoted herself to helping animals in need, particularly those who are abandoned, neglected, abused, injured, medically challenged or facing euthanasia.
Her work has extended beyond rescue itself. Through photography and writing, Rosa has documented animals and their journeys, helping bring their stories to a wider audience. Her rescue work has received national and international media attention, including coverage associated with The Dodo, Reuters, Access Hollywood and television news.
As the founder and driving force behind Humans & Animals United, Rosa’s commitment is centered on the animal in front of her — providing the care, compassion and opportunity for a better life that each animal deserves.
BEYOND RESCUE
Rosa’s work with animals extends beyond the rescue itself. Through photography and writing, she has documented the animals she encounters and helped bring their stories to a wider audience.
